I’ll say it once and I’ll say it again: democrats and republicans are two sides of the same coin. They both represent the powerful and the elite in this country. Any argument to the contrary is simply not true. Why? Because if you look at the way both sides vote and look at the amount of money that lobbyists put into both parties, you will be unable to make any other conclusion, if you are being honest.

Therefore, things like the so-called ‘99% Spring’ is simply an excercise in safe politics, with safe goals, and safe organizing, but the end result can only be failure. We must constantly remind ourselves that change is something that will come through the bottom up and that if we rely on the Democrats, or their activist wing move on, we will simply be used to shore up their political base.

We need to learn from mistakes of the past so we can avoid attrocity in the future.
