Government Explained
An inquisitive alien visits the planet to check on our progress as a species, and gets into a conversation with the first person he meets. The alien discovers that we live under the rule of a thing called “government”, and wants to understand more about what “government” is, what it does, and why it exists.
Produced and voiced by Graham Wright, based on part of the talk by Larken Rose at the Free Your Mind Conference 2011This is great, worth the watch. If you agree we don’t need a centralized government, you are an “Anarchist” at heart, and if you also believe in peace, mutual aid for all, and complete equality, you are a “Commune” at heart. Put the two together and you are a Anarcho-Communist (a.k.a. Anarcho-Syndicalism), but without the government control of stereotypical Communism, and without the disregard for the collective of stereotypical Anarchy, and most of all without the class division and struggle for survival within a Capitalist Republic that exploits private ownership of your rights and labor as influenced by money resulting in institutional control by the ultra rich under a false banner of Freedom. Authoritarian is authoritarian, whether it’s communistic or republic, the only choice left is to abolish authoritarianism (Anarchy) and treat ourselves equally as a single race of human beings rather than a special class of individuals (Communism).

The “Occupy” demonstrations indicate the symbiotic relationship occurring between activists and technology. When combined, they become an effective means in raising awareness to issues that may never reach mainstream media circles. Although public revolts are nothing new, social media has accelerated the process, not only when it comes to organizing and expressing public opinion but also tearing down the information walls that once divided nations.
